Welcome Coach Pace!
It has recently been officially approved to appoint Kyle Race as our newest Team 61 member to replace Coach Hammond. (Coach Hammond has moved to Smithville as the head basketball coach.) Below is a little info Coach Pace has written about himself. He is extremely excited to become a Patriot and we are pleased to have found such an enthusiastic educator with a passion for leaving a legacy.
"I was born and raised in the small town of Dardanelle, AR, home of the Sand lizards. After high school, I attended the University of Arkansas where I pursued a degree in kinesiology. While attending school, I met my future wife, Molly. After graduating, I moved to Kansas City and married my wife the following week. That following school year I worked for the Kansas City Kansas School district as a physical education aide. I also helped coach a pop warner football team in Liberty. The following year, I got the opportunity to coach football and track at Liberty North High school while starting my second year in the KCK school district. In 2014 I was hired in the Liberty School district as a campus security monitor. I am now extremely grateful and excited to become a part of the Manor Hill team. I look forward to meeting everyone. Go Patriots!"
Butterfly Garden coming to Manor Hill!
Our 2nd grade has won a grant from the Conservation Department's educational program. Their grant money will provide funds to pay for their upcoming field trip, as well as to provide resources for an outdoor conservation. Second grade studies butterflies, so the funds will be used to create a butterfly garden for all of Manor Hill to enjoy!
Second graders have been busy researching why butterfly gardens are helpful, and what needs to grow in a butterfly garden. They then created slideshows to share with all students at Manor Hill to help educate everyone on what they have learned.
Work will begin on the butterfly garden over the next few weeks. Preparation includes marking off the area (next to the big maple between the swings and 3-5 playground), killing off the weeds already present in this area, and then cultivation of plants!
If you live around the school, we would appreciate your help in watering the garden over the summer and teaching your children to respect this area.
CONGRATULATIONS 2nd GRADE!

Manor Hill Staff and Students are Ready to Make an Impact!
"Know thy IMPACT…it's about understanding the impact that a teacher has on learning, which requires us to look at learning from the eyes of the student." --John Hattie
